Paddle Billing metrics beside the rest of your products
Paddle handles sales tax as a merchant of record, which is why plenty of indie SaaS and desktop apps sell through it. Its dashboard covers one account's money, though, and won't tell you whether a dip in new subscribers matches a drop in site traffic or a bad week in the App Store.
Ertori reads Paddle's Metrics API with a key that has read permissions only, and adds daily revenue, refunds, MRR and active subscribers to the project they belong to.
What you get
- Revenue: Paddle's revenue metric, net of tax and fees.
- Refunds: Paddle's refunds metric.
- MRR: monthly recurring revenue as Paddle calculates it.
- Subscriptions: active subscribers.
- Daily history for up to 3 years from the Metrics API.
- Refreshed hourly; Paddle updates its metrics through the day.

Good to know
Older keys lack metrics.read
The Metrics API was released in March 2026, and keys created before it don't get the metrics.read permission automatically. Create a new key and tick metrics.read along with the other read permissions.
Keys expire
Paddle keys expire after 90 days by default and after 1 year at most. Pick the longest expiry when you create one; when it lapses, paste a new key.
Paddle revenue is already net
Paddle's revenue metric is after tax and fees, while Stripe's Revenue column is gross charges. On a project that uses both, compare Paddle revenue with Stripe proceeds, not with Stripe revenue.
Questions
- What can the key do?
- Only what its read permissions allow: metrics.read, transaction.read, subscription.read, customer.read, adjustment.read, product.read and price.read. It can't create prices, refund transactions or cancel subscriptions.
- Is there a Paddle sign-in instead of a key?
- No. Paddle offers no OAuth for third-party apps, so an API key with read permissions is the way in.
- How often does Paddle data update?
- Ertori asks Paddle once an hour. Paddle updates its metrics through the day, so today's figures can still change before the day is over.
- Will Claude know my Paddle MRR?
- With Pro, yes. Your Claude reads daily MRR, revenue, refunds and subscribers and can set them against any other product you run.
